Use
The money of the time is used to obtain things. Even though the world is at war and civilization threatens to fall, mankind is determined to keep itself alive. And one of the things it holds onto is its use of money.
Currencies
Bits are the lowest form. (equal to dimes in real world) A Bit is a small circular piece of silver colored chip made of a material similar to nickel.
Mark is the second lowest form of money. (equal to one dollar in real world) A Mark is made from a chocolate colored bit of material that is as light as copper but more smooth, like polished opal. It is the size of a real world dime but 2mm thicker.
Florins are the second highest form. (equal to 100 dollars in real world). A Florin is made of a very fine, flat piece of substance likened to petrified wood in texture and appearance, though more durable like gold. It is about the size of a quarter.
A Phoenix is the highest form of money and rarely seen outside of nobility or the banks. (equal to 1000 dollars in real world) It is crystal clear and circular in shape.

Bartering
Bartering is when items are traded for other items. Bartering is the sole 'currency' of the Angels. But, it is only used by humans during desperate measures, if a special type of trade is in order, or if neither party has money. On some occasions, items and money can be traded. Bartering is as acceptable as the exchange of currency, so long as a party makes a profit or an equal trade.
