Age of Heroes
The Age of Heroes first began in the very early 1100s. It began in Makingar (near modern day Levengrad) and the city is still called the birthplace of the Age of Heroes. The majority of heroes hailed from Levengrad and its surrounding cities, making Levengrad the prime location where the Pantheon of Heroes are worshiped. There are sometimes pilgrimages to the cities where travelers, worshipers, and commoners alike can see the monuments that were erected or named for the famous people who earned their recognition there.
1086
Leo Thane was born in the village of Ephemras during the reign of King Tiberius Rozzelion of Makingar and the surrounding villages. Leo Thane would inevitably become the first of the heroes.
1100
Leo Thane, first of the heroes, was born in the village of Ephemras in 1086. During that time, the King Tiberius took the throne of Makingar, ruling over it and the surrounding villages, uniting them into one province. He was a tyrant who ruled unjustly and slaughtered many innocents as 'examples'.
1106, Leo Thane gathered a group of twenty armed men and stormed the castle of Makingar. He was captured, his men were killed, and he was tortured and set to be executed. He escaped the prisons and disappeared.
1107
Leo Thane returned with fifty armed men who claimed to be their own faction, the Far-sworn. They took the castle under cover of darkness. While most of his men kept the army occupied, Leo slipped into the King's chambers with two others and beheaded the tyrant. When he showed the King's head to his soldiers, they surrendered.
Leo died that night from a sword wound, though some say it was an arrow.
Leo's older brother Vieri Thane took over the faction and led them on to defeat the tyrant's supporters. Makingar was burned to the ground. Its ruins still stand today.
1108
The Far-sworn became the new leading faction, establishing their capital in Bezij Nak. Vieri ordered a massive gate to be built in his dead brother's honor. The Gates of Leo were erected on the Bezij road; two massive, stone lions that flanked either side of the path. Leo Thane became the first recognized hero.
1232
The capital Bezij Nak fell and the Far-sworn then established themselves at Levengrad, a village near Bezij Nak. The Bezij road leads on to Levengrad, allowing the Gates of Leo to continue guarding the faction and its people.
1240
Royce Matha became Excelsior of Levengrad and the surrounding villages. He appointed Sollom Mane as his Right-Hand. During his first year of reign, he overruled the Black Market stationed in Levengrad. His supporters abandoned him in this attempt and he was forced to stand alone against great opposition. Despite all, he managed to tear down its roots. The Black Market floundered for a few years before its final crash when he led a small military team to kill the heads of the Black Market.
1254
War came to Levengrad in the form of the Sisterhood. Excelsior Royce Matha and his Right-Hand fell at their hands. A shield maiden, Naymiri Mysane rose up and began to lead the charge against the Sisterhood when they came to their city. The army was reluctant to follow her and she was left standing at the pass that led into the city alone. She single handedly slaughtered dozens of the Sisterhood. Stunned by her bravery and skill, the army rose up to support her. She was wounded in battle and carried away by the soldiers. They managed to hold the pass, and Naymiri was treated. She didn't lie for long. Not an hour after being settled and her wounds treated, than she rose and took the throne of Levengrad as the first female Excelsior. None really dared to oppose her at the time, for she was so frightening. Announcing herself as the ruler of Levengrad and all the Far-sworn, she went back to the pass and directed the army to beat back the Sisterhood. She was supported by several male Generals, and with their help, was able to gain control of the army and execute her plans. The Sisterhood were defeated and beat a hasty retreat.
Naymiri's coronation was held within the week following their victory. Afterwards, she left the public eye to recover from the battle. The Generals who supported her trained her in the political ways, though it was soon apparent she was fully knowledgeable and prepared to take it on already. From there, she faced multiple battles, including the Siege of Mairpare, the Fall of Rostenheim, and the Battle of the Frez.
TODAY
The Age of Heroes still continues today. The last recognized hero added to the Pantheon was a Maopharaoh pilot by name of Bravo, who was the last pilot to fall in the Rift during Operation 26. King Sacer Nox was once nominated to be a recognized hero, but for political reasons and the fact that he's still alive, it was denied. Reasons for the nomination are unknown to this day as the King's past is kept hidden by authorities.

Era of the Angels
1456
The war began in the year 1456 when the Rift opened in Maeter Purge; the base of a hallowed escarpment in the forgotten places of Wildergarden. From that Rift, alien beings, more beautiful and wise than anything mankind has ever known, came crawling out.
At first, mankind was naive. Unaware of their intentions, they took these creatures in, regarding them as benevolent beings. Mankind dubbed them Angels.
When the Angels showed their true colors and slaughtered millions, mankind fell to chaos and ruin.
The military was sent out on covert missions to locate the source of these creatures. It was then that they stumbled across the Rift. They planted traps and ensnared many of the Angels. Through multiple tests, they discovered that these things could be killed, and from then on, the military grew in power and determination.
1589
After three hundred years, the war had sucked in every eligible male, wether adult or child that could wield a gun, sword, or move a controller. After so long, men as a collective lost their ability for emotion and turned into absolute killing machines. It was in 1582 that the change of gender supremacy took place since women were the only ones who had any real sort of resolve and could function on their own whereas men thrived off of orders and the direction to kill.
The Charlemagne Alternative was a proposition made by Queen Aeltir Charlemagne of Cora Ultima. It stated that women were to lead the kingdoms and the factions. During the time, it made absolute sense. Men were always away fighting, and the cities were falling apart in the rulers' absences. However, the document also made mentions of men becoming subservient to women, that opposing this decree would be seen as a traitorous act by all the kingdoms. Most that signed the document are said to have agreed to these terms, though a few conspire that they had been forced or manipulated into not knowing of these things. In the end, the rulers of the different kingdoms all signed, the last being Falis Telmin, Excelsior of Levengrad.
